Stats
Stats is where listening turns into numbers you can report. It answers two questions: what is happening around your product, and what is happening around your competitors.
Two tabs, one shape
The Your data tab covers your own mentions. The Competitor tab covers the competitors you track, and it uses the same layout, so a number in one tab has its counterpart in the other. Competitor stats are available on the Growth and Enterprise plans.
What is counted
- Sentiment over time, backed by the posts analyzed in the selected window.
- Posts heard in the window, broken down by channel and track.
- Drafts waiting for review and replies sent, so you can see how the team is keeping up.
- Recurring themes, the same clusters that appear in Insights.
- On the Competitor tab: signals per competitor, likes and dislikes, and sentiment from launch to real use.
The window can reach back 180 days, the same range the listening itself covers. Dates come from the original post. When a source does not show a date, the post is marked accordingly instead of guessing.
How the sentiment score moves
The sentiment tracker on Stats and Insights runs on fixed rules, so the line and the number always agree with the posts behind them. The Stats date selector updates the tracker and the rest of the workspace report together.
- A post belongs to a window by its published date, the same date shown on its card.
- Muted posts are never counted, and archived posts are never counted.
- Each point on the line is the average of every reading in the trailing window of the length you picked, ending that day. The last point is the headline number.
- Switching between 7d, 30d and 90d rewrites the number, the line and the sample size together, by the same rule.
- Clicking a day on the line lists the posts that arrived that day, with a link to each original post.
- Posts pulled in without a reading yet are counted separately and read on the next pass.
The same numbers elsewhere
Nothing in Stats is locked to the page. The MCP tool get_stats and the CLI command earshots stats return the same figures, so a weekly report can pull them without opening the app.
