Competitor Signal

Add the rivals your plan allows: 3 on Starter, 5 on Growth, 15 on Enterprise. EarShots scans public developer conversations about their products and turns them into a GTM brief: what audiences like, what they complain about, and how sentiment shifts after launch.

Set it up

  1. 1

    Open Competitors

From your workspace, open the Competitors area in the sidebar.
  2. 2

    Add a competitor

Enter the competitor name and their product names. How many you can add follows your plan: 3 on Starter, 5 on Growth, 15 on Enterprise.
  3. 3

    Run a scan

A scan pulls public posts from the last 90 days across your connected channels, filters out non-English and off-topic noise, and analyzes each relevant post.

How to read the results

Each competitor gets a rollup of likes and dislikes, the recurring themes behind them, and a split between launch reaction and real use. Products often look great on launch day and different three weeks in; that gap is where your positioning lives.

Every signal links back to the original post so you can verify the context yourself. Suggested GTM moves are generated from the evidence, not from a generic playbook.

Freshness

Scans cover the last 90 days. Run them on demand when a competitor launches, prices, or announces something new.

Competitor Signal is read only. It analyzes public conversations and never posts, comments, or contacts anyone.
