FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
EarShots reads public developer posts, sorts them into five tracks, and drafts replies from your documentation. These are the questions teams ask before they connect a workspace.
What EarShots does
- What does EarShots do?
- EarShots reads public developer posts on GitHub, X, LinkedIn, Hacker News, and Reddit about your product, along with the networks where coding agents decide what to install. It sorts each one into a question, friction, a buying signal, or praise, and drafts a reply from your documentation.
- What is developer social listening?
- Developer social listening is monitoring where developers discuss tools, sorting those conversations by what the developer needs, and replying with answers grounded in documentation.
- How does a mention become a draft?
- For questions and friction, the agent searches your connected documentation, writes a reply, and cites the passage it used. A person edits or discards the draft before it goes anywhere.
What it never does
- Does EarShots post replies for me?
- No. A draft stays in your workspace until someone copies it and sends it from the original post.
- Can EarShots edit my documentation?
- No. Ground Truth drafts a correction for your docs team. EarShots never edits your docs.
- Does EarShots read private repositories?
- No. EarShots never reads private repos. Context Buzz and Agent Signal read public GitHub activity only.
- Does EarShots train models on my data?
- No. EarShots never trains on your data. Your documentation and mentions are used only to serve your workspace.
- Can a reply go out without anyone checking it?
- No. EarShots never replies without a person. Every draft sits in the queue until someone reviews and sends it.
Plans
- How is EarShots priced?
- By tracked products and channels, not by seats. Every plan includes the queue, drafted replies, and human approval. See current plans and prices on the pricing page.
- What do higher plans add?
- Competitor Signal, Ground Truth, Agent Signal, and the MCP server, depending on the plan.
Data and security
- Where does EarShots store my documentation?
- Documentation you connect is stored encrypted and used only to draft replies and check claims for your workspace.
- Who can see my workspace data?
- Only your team and the EarShots staff who support your account, under access controls scoped to your workspace.
- Does EarShots post on my behalf?
- No. Nothing leaves the workspace on its own, and the person who reviews the draft is the one who sends it.
